Is the Scite annual plan worth it?
Scite is a research tool that uses AI to classify how papers cite each other, showing whether a citation supports, contradicts, or merely mentions a claim, to help researchers evaluate scientific literature. Plans are Connect (free, 25 MCP credits/month), Basic at $20/month billed yearly, and Pro at $50/month billed yearly with a one-time $60 API credit. The official pricing page states discounts are available for students and academics who recommend Scite to their institution, arranged by emailing sales rather than a public code.
Check beyond the headline discount: usage limits, renewal price after the first term, refund window, and whether the code applies only to the first billing period. Codes collected from public coupon, creator and partner sources on 29 September 2026. Codes can expire or be limited to new accounts or specific plans, so confirm the discount at checkout before paying.
